Hey there! They call me Gator! I think that's hilarious bc I don't have any gator-like qualities! But it's the name I know, so I answer. I am a sensitive and gentle, 4ish year old, 70 lb Rottie-mix. I was rescued from an animal hoarding situation, then spent a few months in the shelter. No one wanted to adopt me so I was pulled by Adopt A Pit Rescue! I didn't trust my foster mom at first (or any people for that matter). But within a couple weeks, I wouldn't leave her side! It also helped that I had a canine pack to show me it was okay and I was safe. I even respect the cats in my foster home, although foster mom has to sometimes correct me with, "no" or "leave it"! I can't help myself sometimes, those cats are just so dang interesting! In case I haven't mentioned, I'm great with dogs and good with cats! I'm also crate-trained. In fact, I love my crate. It currently has a sheet over the back-half so I go there a lot to seek refuge and comfort. I go in easily bc I am fed meals there! I can't wait to have a forever family! My wishes are that they are patient with me, and give me a chance to show how loyal, snuggly, playful, and all around awesome I truly am! Overall, I am just a big lug that needs a chance to feel safe and I will give you all your love back ten-fold. Gator is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, & heartworm tested. Gator's adoption fee is $175. Apply for Gator here: www.adoptapitrescue.org
