Hi! Xico (zee-co) here! I somehow found myself in a closed, rural shelter for months without any visitors. The shelter was worried because I was losing hope so they asked for a rescue to get me into a home. You see, I had a family once. I don’t understand why they abandoned me. I love people of all ages, I’m great with dogs and I’m good with cats. Being in a loud shelter without my family broke my heart. I really don’t understand why they left me; I do all the right things to be a good boy!! My foster family is reminding me of what it’s like to be in a family and I’m really happy to be in a home again so I listen to everything they say because I want them to be happy with me. I know how to sit and I know how to tell my foster parents I need to go outside. I’m learning more new stuff everyday too! Learning is fun because I get treats and affection for doing the right thing. I love being told I’m a good boy. I love playing fetch. I love playing with my foster doggy sister. I love going on walks. But above anything, I love getting pets and cuddles. I am great at giving hugs and snuggling and I will make sure you know just how much I love you. Like seriously, I’m so good at hugs and cuddles. My foster mom keeps saying I’m not “lap dog size” but I firmly disagree; I’m just the right size for any lap! Xico’s adoption fee is $175. He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.
We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.
We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
