My name is Gemma & I am very different from many of the dogs in rescue. I was sooooo happy when I got to the shelter. You see, my life before was awful. When I got to the shelter I was emaciated, weak & had horrible cherry eye. The ladies at the shelter helped me right away. They cleaned me up, gave me lots of food & attention & made sure I had a soft bed to sleep on. You don’t know how nice that felt. They even gave me toys. Once I filled out & felt good again they spayed me & fixed my eyes. My cherry eye was awful and so as a result my eyes ( now that they are fixed ) are droopy. My foster momma says I always look sad. I’m not though. I love my foster home. There is food here. I have a crate FULL of toys, a big soft bed ( which I love) & lots of attention & snuggles. I have other dogs to play with which makes me really happy too! I love snuggles & will lean on whoever is closest to me to get pets. I do have the worst crop job on my ears you’ve ever seen. My foster momma says I’m beautiful anyway!! 
I am great in the car, love walks ( not too long ) & I am house & crate trained. If someone comes to the door I greet them with a bark that sounds like a dying moose..... strangers are impressed lol. If there isn’t anyone at the door I can’t be bothered to bark. Why get up from a perfectly nice nap to be noisy??? There’s no need for that!!

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
