"You ain't nothin' but a hound dog..."
Hi! I'm Taylor! My foster mom thinks I'm a Bernese Mountain Dog/hound dog mix. I'm a sweet 1 1/2 yr-2yr boy. But unless I learn to talk soon, all my foster mom knows about my past is that I was running scared for at least two weeks near the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton. After a nice lady caught me, my foster mom agreed to take me to her home. I'm still getting used to being in a home but I am house broken, and I'm great on a leash. I love walks, I just sometimes want to walk behind you to be sure I'm not alone anymore. I know "come", I'm stubbornly trying to not learn sit, I know "down" but I don't always listen. I like food, but if I don't want to do something, treats aren't going to motivate me. I don't really like other dogs, but keep in mind I'm still learning to live in a safe home. My foster mom is working on crate training me, but I don't like being by myself so I cry in my crate sometimes.
I can be shy, but once I warm up to you I just want to snuggle on the couch and maybe chew a bone while we watch tv. I also really really love ear scratches, they're the best part of being in a home so far.
Taylor's adoption fee is $175
We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.
We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.
We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
